Email marketing has emerged as a skill I've honed and grown to love in my current role. It's a creative outlet where I can express myself through design while directly communicating with our audience. Beyond simply being an avenue to share promotions, it's a means to share valuable information they might have overlooked. It allows us to craft experiences that resonate with our audience and drive engagement.

Client Case Study

Leela Gurukul is an online meditation school, community, and podcast led by third-generation spiritual advisor, Chandresh Bhardwaj.

Joining a small start-up as Head of Communications, I quickly identified the need for Leela to implement weekly newsletters to engage with its audience, drive traffic, promote offerings, and establish its brand presence in the market.

In collaboration with Leela’s founder, I worked to discover Leela’s unique brand voice and vibe. We worked with branding experts to create color schemes, typography, and logos, and began to bring the vision of Leela to life. With that valuable information, we could begin to build an online presence, offering valuable content tailored to our target audience.

As our presence expanded across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Spotify, we recognized the untapped potential of email marketing. To capture audience interest, we developed lead magnets—simple, free offerings such as masterclasses, PDFs, or pre-recorded meditations. These served as catalysts for building our email subscriber list.

As our email list grew, I implemented weekly newsletters, highlighting our premium programs, upcoming events, and noteworthy content from other platforms. Below, you’ll find an example of one such newsletter, as well as one of our free pdf lead magnets, showcasing our commitment to engaging and informing our audience.
